Luang Prabang
Laos 2008 Morning time is special in Luang Prabang. Every morning at sunrise, hundreds of monks who live in the many temples and wats of the city appear on the streets to collects alms, their one daily dish. This daily ritual provides monks with all the food, mostly rice, they will eat on that given day and goes on for about an hour as monks stroll in great speed the main street of the holy city, which is a Unesco World Heritage site. |
