I'm off to Mumbai in a few hours to spend the week end in Dharavi, Asia's biggest slum.

Dharavi is as surreal as places on earth get. The slum, which is a neighborhood of Bombay, has 1.5 million habitants (bigger than every French city except Paris hahaha) and get this, generates more than 700 million dollars of revenue in a single year.

It is a slum, a neighborhood, a city and a micro-economy and Indian authorities want it scrapped from the face of the earth to fulfill their urban development fantasies.
